We’re here!
It was a wonderful day and a very sad day.
We all were suppose to wear our official Southern Cross jerseys, I carried mine to wear later, it was too hot and sunny to wear all day. The route was kind of rolly, more than I expected for Florida. The whole group gathered up a couple miles before the finish so we could all ride in together. The big group picture was taken, police cars escorted us down the highway to our hotel, and after 3,200 miles the ride was over.
A small celebratory party at the finish, a gathering at the pool later and the group dinner after that. I stayed up as late as possible not wanting it to end… what a great experience.
70.5 miles
